Smooth Fox Terrier - Terrier Group

Originating in England for working in the 1800's. The Smooth Fox Terrier loves to hunt vermin as well as foxes at it's name implies. The coat is short and smooth and is colored in mostly white with red, brindle or liver markings. This dog breed was one of the first to be shown in the ring. They are energetic, playful and highly affectionate with their family. Though they may be wary of other animals. Weighing from 15-19 lbs and standing from 13-15 inches at the shoulder. The Smooth Fox Terrier may not be for everyone. They need adequate exercise to fulfill their mischievous, adventurous and bold personalities. Barking and digging may be a behavioral fault. However, they are relatively easy to train and maintain. At times they may be protective and wary of strangers.
