Puli - Herding Group
Originating in Hungary the Puli was bred to herd sheep. They are unique as well as interesting looking with their yarn like coat which is colored in black as well as silver and white. It is a long coat that needs to be groomed about three times a week as well as seperated when it forms together. The Puli is a dog that may have a hard nosed attitude and for this reason may not be good with other dogs. They are also highly aware and love to guard. Standing about 16 inches at the shoulder and weighing from 28-32 lbs. This dog breed is built to herd and enjoys nothing more than to do so. The Puli likes to keep active and for this reason needs exercise for about a few hours a day. They are a stubborn breed that may not be easy to train without a strict owner. They may be independent and aloof around strangers. Though they are loyal they also love to do their own thing. This interesting looking breed has a great deal of courage in a deceiving way.
