Pomeranian - Toy Group

Originating in Germany as a companion dog. The Pomeranian may be one of the more independent and stubborn small dog breeds. They have a tendency to bark a lot and at times are not tolerant of other dogs. They have a soft undercoat and rugged overcoat. It can be colored in any color or combination. This dog breed weighs 4-8 lbs and stands from 8-11 inches at the shoulder. Games and fun are some of the more notable parts of owning this dog. The Pomeranian does not need excessive exercise due to it's size. A small walk in the yard or play session is sufficient. Having a Pomeranian means owning a curious, happy go lucky, active dog. Faults of this dog are that it may be wary of strangers and at times is hard to train.
