Havanese - Toy Group

Originating in Cuba the Havanese is a lap dog and companion. They are an all around family dog with little personality flaws. In fact they're performers or trick dogs that were used in the circus. Their coat is long and can be colored in any color. They stand from 9-12 inches at the shoulder and weigh 8-14 lbs. Being the true performer, the Havanese likes to be the center of attention and have all eyes on it. This dog breed is curious, playful, and clownish. It has adapted and adjusted with love to it's family, pets, and strangers. Though at times it can be a barker. The Havanese is a dog that would be great with children and first time owners. They are mainly an indoor dog and do not require excessive exercise so a small walk or game is sufficient. Nicknamed in Cuba as Habaneros the Havanese is a dog that is part of Cuba and the dog trick world.
