Field Spaniel - Sporting Group

Originating in England, the Field Spaniel is a warm hearted all around great choice for the first time dog owner. As with many dogs in the Sporting Group they are able to flush and retrieve birds while on the hunt. Their coat is black, liver, golden liver, in solid as well as in two mixtures all with white patches being acceptable. Standing from 16-18 inches and weighing from 40-55 lbs. The Field Spaniel is a medium sized dog that is built for retrieving. They are dedicated to hunting birds and at times may be off working in their own world. Loyal, affectionate and ever concerned about their family. This breed is at times wary of strangers because of their love of their family. The Field Spaniel is relatively easy to train, good with other pets and in need of adequate exercise. They carry on the spaniel name with a little extra hunting dedication.
