Chihuahua - Toy Group
The Chihuahua is the smallest dog breed in the world. Pound for pound they are just as fearless as any dominant dog. Named after a Mexican province. The Chihuahua is descended from Mexico. They are a lap dog however become protective and aggressive if they are not well trained. This dog breed is intended to be a companion dog. Their noisy nature gives them a watchdog type feeling. Their are both short hair and long hair breeds. The Chihuahua stands 6-9 inches and weighs from 2-6 lbs. They have a coat that is colored in any color or pattern. For the patient and strict dog owner this is a great dog. These miniature tough dogs need to trained thoroughly. They are known to be a favorite of wealthy U.S. women as a companion. They do not need large amounts of exercise which makes them ideal city dog's. They are intended to be a sweetheart and loyal to their family.
