Cesky Terrier - Terrier Group
Originating in the Czech Republic, the Cesky Terrier is dog that is the pride of it it's homeland. Being seen on stamps as well as movies in the Czech Republic. Standing from 10-12 inches and weighing 15-21 lbs this breed is known for hunting birds such as pheasants and even large game like wild pigs (boar). Their coat is long and is colored in many different shades of gray. They are proven hunters and loyal to their family. The Cesky Terrier needs strict obedience and needs to gain the trust of strangers as they are protective. Like many terriers they are apt to dig or be independent. This breed was originally and can be used for hunting together with other dogs. They are feisty, devoted, loyal and a terrier that is happy to please. Their coat needs grooming bi-weekly and clipping about three times a year. Their history includes specifically being bred for hunting.
