Cane Corso - Working Group

The Cane Corso is primarily a guard dog it's history includes being a military attack dog. Their is no denying that this dog is electric. Used for large game hunting. The Cane Corso is a loyal protective dog. It may be suspicious of strangers so early exposure to people is necessary. The Cane Corso is an Italian Mastiff and is somewhat rare and unknown. In Italy it is valued as a guard dog. In Roman times it was a war dog that fought in battles. It was just recently recognized to perform in dog shows through its AKC inauguration. This dog belongs to the Mastiff group of dogs and is strikingly impressive in size and weight. Weighing from 88-110 lbs it is built to protect. It stands about 24 -27 inches at the shoulder. It's short coat can be colored in black, gray, fawn or brindle. Males are heavier and taller than females. At first glance the dog may seem intimidating however it like any other Mastiff. Should be given strict training to keep this dog calm and obedient. With the Cane Corso you will be getting a dominant breed that can give you peace of mind. This along with its caring and calming physique will impress everyone you come in contact with. Loving this dominant breed should be for experienced dog owners.
